The clinic is in a new, rented, villa and has been in operation for nine months. The consulting rooms are spotless and inviting. Particularly impressive was the workstation for producing the hearing aids which had been designed and built by Lo and Sopheak. In the first nine months they have developed relationships with 15 other organisations, including Helping Hands, who refer patients to them. The service they provide is totally free, however some wealthier self-referring patients do make donations. Instrument sterilisation is by microwave and disinfectant solutions, there is an obvious need for an autoclave. We were shown the audiometer donated by MSAVLC. The original audiometer is still working and is used occasionally to check unusual readings.
